***RUGBY TRAINING IS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE WET WEATHER***
Message from the President - John Lockhart I would like to encourage all our COACHES AND ASSISTANT COACHES to register for the Smart Rugby sessions at the SCRU in the next few months. (No charge). Please contact SCRU directly. We have first aid training available for our TRAINERS, possibly on Sunday 28 March at the Uni Club. It will be an all day event. Total cost is $135 - half the cost will be paid by the Club, making the course $57.50 which is excellent value! Included training on the day: Apply First Aid (HLTFA301B) - certificate valid for 3 years CPR (HLTCPR201B) - certificate valid for 12 months Sports Taping Spinal Management Record Keeping If the participant has never done a First Aid or CPR course, or they have done one but it has expired, they will need to complete a workbook prior to the course, If they have a valid First Aid or CPR certificate and just want to do a refresher then that will cost less but they need to contact me and discuss the options. Participants need to bring their own lunch and wear something comfortable .. CPR, Bandaging and Strapping requires lots of movement .. you need to be comfortable ! Again, it is a regulation that our Trainers do hold this qualification. Please contact Annie Belcher directly on annie.firstaid@gmail.com for more information. It is a great opportunity. All trainers will be contacted regarding the final details of this course. Blue Cards (Working with Children checks) is another requirement that we need to do. As volunteers to our club, there is no charge. Forms can be downloaded from http://www.ccypcg.qld.gov.au A member of the executive can sign them, once viewing certain documents, before posting them.
